Job summary

The Fresno County Department of General Services is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment across County facilities. This journey-level position requires applying proper procedures and demonstrates experienced trades skills.

Candidates must meet one of the two options: four years of related full-time work in mechanical trades or a certificate from an accredited program, plus a valid Class C driver’s license and the ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience in the crafts/mechanical trades field performing maintenance, installation, and/or repairs on mechanical equipment in a commercial and/or industrial setting.
• Possession of a certificate of completion from an accredited college, apprenticeship, or trade school in the crafts/mechanical trades field.
