Job summary

Shoreline Community College is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across campus. You will install, inspect, and repair equipment while upholding safety standards and delivering reliable service to campus stakeholders.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, and collaborating with facilities teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or demonstrate equivalent education/experience.
• 4 years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to obtain First Aid/CPR within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Responds to service requests; monitors safety, fire protection and environmental control equipment.
• Operates hand and power tools; performs welding and fabrication as needed.
• Assists with setup and takedown for campus events; provides excellent customer service.
