Job summary

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is seeking experienced ES-E3J Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a large-scale mission-critical data center project in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

The Journeyman will assist with installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while working alongside licensed journeymen and project leadership. Excellent opportunity to expand experience on complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid New Mexico EE3J license.
• Experience with structured cabling installations.
• OSHA10 certification required; OSHA30 preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Two years of low voltage construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and support structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Install cable tray, conduit, pathways, racks, cabinets, and related low voltage infrastructure.
• Assist with cable pulls, cabling dressing, labeling, and termination activities.
• Support installation of access control, security, communications, and network infrastructures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and system verification activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and labeling standards.
• Support commissioning and project turnover activities.
• Coordinate work with foremen, superintendents, project management, and other trades.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
