Job summary

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical, Inc. is seeking experienced ES-E3J Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a large-scale data center project in Santa Teresa, NM.

You will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and commission structured cabling while collaborating with licensed journeymen and project leadership. This role offers full-time hours with overtime opportunities, per diem eligibility for travel, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico EE3J license required or equivalent recognized credential.
• Minimum two years of low voltage construction experience preferred.
• Experience with structured cabling installations and reading construction drawings/specifications.

• Install cable trays, conduits, pathways, racks, and low voltage infrastructure.

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is seeking experienced ES-E3J Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a large scale mission critical data center project in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

The ES-3J Journeyman Low Voltage Technician will assist with the installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of structured cabling and low voltage systems while working alongside licensed journeymen and project leadership.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, route, and support structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Install cable tray, conduit, pathways, racks, cabinets, and related low voltage infrastructure.
• Assist with cable pulls, cable dressing, labeling, and termination activities.
• Support installation of access control, security, communications, and network infrastructure systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and system verification activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and labeling standards.
• Support commissioning and project turnover activities.
• Coordinate work with foremen, superintendents, project management, and other trades.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site specific safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico EE3J License.
• Minimum two years of low voltage construction experience preferred.
• Experience with structured cabling installations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre employment screening and customer site access requirements.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center construction experience.
• Fiber optic installation experience.
• Experience with copper and fiber terminations.
• BICSI certification or training.
• Fluke testing experience.
• Experience with access control, security, and communications systems.
• Mission critical construction experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated surfaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
