Job summary

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is hiring Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a mission-critical datacenter project in Santa Teresa, NM. You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems following plans and codes, and handle structured cabling, cable trays, and documentation.

Candidates should have NM Journeyman license, 4+ years of relevant experience, and ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico Journeyman License.
• Minimum four years of low voltage installation experience.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience installing and terminating structured cabling systems.
• Experience with low voltage testing and troubleshooting.
• OSHA10 Certification required.
• OSHA30 Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems per plans and codes.
• Perform structured cabling installations (copper and fiber).
• Install cable tray, conduit, pathways, racks, cabinets, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform cable labeling, testing, certification, and documentation.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical specs.
• Support installation of security, access control, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Support commissioning activities and final turnover.
• Coordinate with supervision, project management, customers, and trades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA requirements.
