Job summary

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical in Santa Teresa, NM seeks experienced EE98J Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a mission-critical data center project in the El Paso and Las Cruces area. You will install, terminate, test, and commission structured cabling and low-voltage systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with supervision and other trades.

The position offers a full-time schedule with overtime and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and per diem for eligible

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico Journeyman license required.
• Minimum four years of low voltage installation experience.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience installing structured cabling systems.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Perform structured cabling installations including copper and fiber optic systems.
• Install cable tray, conduit, pathways, racks, cabinets, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform cable labeling, testing, certification, and documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line drawings, and technical specifications.
• Support installation of security, access control, and related low voltage systems.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Support commissioning activities and final system turnover.
• Coordinate activities with supervision, project management, customers, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
