Pike Corporation is seeking a Class A Lineman experienced in constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems. The position involves work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites, and reporting to the Foreman.

The role requires five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel; compensation ranges from $42.61 to $60.00 per hour with on-call and overtime obligations. Pike emphasizes safety and a strong safety culture across projects.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures and use proper tools and test equipment.
• Climb structures and work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE usage and insulated protection.
