Job summary

CORE Electric Cooperative is seeking a Lineman responsible for the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission lines. The role requires independent action in some situations with supervision from the Line Superintendent.

Responsibilities include installing meters, reading meters, servicing lines, and responding to outages, with on-call duties including holidays and weekends. A high school diploma and an accredited Lineman apprenticeship or journeyman experience are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a four-year accredited apprenticeship program as a Lineman or in electric transmission/distribution construction and maintenance; or journeyman experience.
• Valid unrestricted Class A Colorado CDL and DOT medical certificate; subject to DOT drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Connects and maintains single-phase and three-phase service lines and meters.
• Reads kilowatt hour and demand-type meters; processes service orders and delinquent account actions.
• Inspects, repairs and maintains transmission/distribution lines; locates underground cables; responds to outages.
