Job summary

Must complete a lineman apprenticeship and hold Journeyman status, with a valid CDL and CPR/First Aid certification. Travel up to 50% and potential overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a lineman apprentice program and Journeyman status.
• Class A or B CDL with safe driving record.
• Pass random drug screens and remain drug/alcohol free.

Responsibilities

• Dig pole and anchor holes, frame/set poles and anchors, install guy wire, sag and tie-in conductors.
• Relocate, rebuild, and add poles on lines for road projects.
• Install transformers, switches, voltage regulators, oil circuit-reclosers, meters and other electrical apparatus.
• Install service connections and manage disconnects/reconnects.
• Maintain safety guidelines and vehicle/equipment upkeep.
• Respond to emergency call outs and work overtime/weekends when needed.
