Job summary

ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Lineworker to install, maintain, and repair high voltage transmission and distribution lines and related equipment.

The role requires working on overhead and underground systems, climbing poles, and operating bucket trucks and heavy machinery to restore power during outages. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks with strict adherence to safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company procedures, including

Qualifications

• Journeyman level with skilled work in construction, maintenance and operation of power transmission and distribution lines.
• Ability to climb wooden poles and structures and work from elevation for extended periods.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot outages and restore power safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead and underground power lines and substations.
• Operate bucket trucks, line trucks, and heavy machinery safely.
• Troubleshoot system abnormalities and identify corrective actions.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and PPE protocols during all tasks.
