Xcel Energy Inc. is seeking one or more 3rd Step Apprentice / Journeyman Lineman for the Faribault Service Center in Faribault, MN.

The role includes working on overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and a positive, self-motivated attitude. The position offers competitive base pay with progression through apprenticeship steps and eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a degree/diploma from an accepted Line School.
• Must meet driver qualification requirements, including the possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver's License.
• Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution construction, operations, and maintenance work.
• Must have good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must presently be qualified to be a 3rd Step Apprentice Lineman or higher.
• Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of the Lineman Classification. Including work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems.
