Xcel Energy is seeking an Apprentice Lineman (3rd Step or higher) at the Chanhassen Service Center, MN. The role focuses on construction, maintenance and emergency repairs for overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems.

Starting pay ranges hourly from $43.59 to $62.27, with benefits and a path to advanced apprenticeship. Applicants must have a high school diploma, a Lineman technical degree, CDL Class A and be willing to participate in the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school Lineman degree is required.
• CDL Class A and Driver Qualification requirements.
• Must be able to perform all aspects of electric distribution construction.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team responsible for construction, maintenance and emergency repairs of overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems.
• Participate in training and retraining programs to maintain skills.
• Follow safety rules and work well with others in a cooperative environment.
• Be available for after-hours emergency call outs as required.
