Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution systems
• Install and maintain underground electrical distribution systems
• Set and remove utility poles, string conductors, and install electrical equipment
• Build, replace, and connect transformer banks and customer service connections
• Diagnose and repair electrical outages, service interruptions, and system problems
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, backhoes, payloaders, hotline tools, and testing equipment
• Perform cable splicing, line rebuilding, system conversions, and related utility work
• Respond to emergency service calls and severe weather events
• Assist with the instruction and development of apprentice line workers
• Follow established electrical safety practices, work procedures, and equipment requirements
