Mortenson in Cedar Rapids seeks a Laborer Journeyman to prepare, handle and supply materials for ongoing construction projects. The role involves heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, concrete work and assisting other crew members on site.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship completed or in progress.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and handling heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Move and place mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Vibrate and pour concrete.
• Provide guidance to Laborer I/II and Apprentices.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on site.
