Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced journeyman insulation installer. The role involves cutting insulation to spec, following prints for installation and dismantling, and maintaining a clean work area.

You will read order instructions, label finished products, and transport materials with a forklift. The position requires attention to safety, basic math, and clear communication with team members.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cut insulation to specified size using electric bandsaws and abrasive wheels.
• Adhere insulation material to proper size and angles using adhesive prior to cutting.
• Load finished insulation pieces in boxes to be sent to order site.
• Retrieve necessary supplies from warehouse using forklift to transport.
• Must read and write to follow order specifications and to label finished product.
• Utilize basic math skills to follow order specifications.
• Capable of verbal or written communication with others regarding job tasks and work procedures.
• Responsible for cleaning of area after cutting.
• Responsible for checking operational condition of equipment prior to use and performing maintenance as needed.
• Follows safety regulations and specifications as outlined by company.
