Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman Insulation Installer with 3+ years of field experience to read blueprints, interpret instructions, select materials, and perform installation with minimal supervision.

The role covers insulating equipment, pipes, ducts, and tanks, fitting and sealing surfaces, and maintaining records and tools while following all safety rules and project procedures on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents.
• Knowledge of insulation materials and installation methods.
• Commitment to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and instructions; plans work activities.
• Selects insulation materials based on heat retention and location.
• Moves materials to work locations and sets up the site.
• Covers and seals insulated surfaces or access holes.
• Installs sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect insulation.
• Measures and cuts insulation for surfaces.
• Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Observes safety rules and uses PPE.
• Completes records and performs cleanup.
