Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Journeyman-level certification and union status are required.
• EPA Section 608 certification is mandatory.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Service and maintain RTUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency service calls.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak detection.
• Complete service reports and work orders accurately.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and building management.
• Follow OSHA, safety, HVAC code, and union requirements.

Position Summary

ASM is looking for an experienced Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our union service team. This is a mobile position servicing commercial accounts throughout Central New Jersey.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Service and maintain RTUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, controls, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Journeyman-level experience required.
• Must meet applicable union Journeyman requirements and remain in good standing.
• Union members are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Union 274 A/B, 9 A/B, 638, or 475 A/B is preferred; qualified candidates may be eligible to transfer.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and work in a mobile field environment.
