Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support our Wilmington/Philadelphia and South NJ area. You’ll service, start up and troubleshoot HVAC and building automation systems, and guide customers through operation and maintenance.

Requirements include 5+ years in HVAC servicing, strong customer service skills, and the ability to participate in on-call rotation; forklift operation and EPA/NATE licenses are preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of increasing responsibility in servicing HVAC systems.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
• Ability to participate in On-Call Rotation.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• HVAC Journeyman Certificate preferred.
• NATE certification preferred.
• EPA Refrigeration License.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC and control systems.
• Provide field recommendations for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment.
• Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
• Interfaces with Service manager, project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities.
• Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.
• May assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
• Perform Startup and trains the customer in HVAC Equipment and control systems operations.
• In addition to mechanical system startup, setup configurable controllers and complete manufacturer and all BSS job specific documentation and submit to the office.
• Knowledge and use of manufacturer/vendor websites and catalogs to find technical documentation, and replacement parts stock numbers as well as advise customers on substitution or modification of replacement parts.
• BSS & Customer Jobsites Require passing Criminal Background Checks and Drug Testing.

Job Description

Role: HVAC Service Technician

We are searching for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to help support the growing service business. You’ll specialize in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. You must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable and have good customer service skills.

This role would service our Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/South NJ areas.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex HVAC and control systems, apply extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems, and ability to test service and maintain these systems.
• Provide field recommendations for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment.
• Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
• Interfaces with Service manager, project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities.
• Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.

• Participate in On-Call Rotation as necessary.
• Ability to operate fork truck.
• HVAC Journeyman Certificate (preferred).
• NATE certification (preferred).
• EPA Refrigeration License.
• Valid driver's license.

Salary and Benefits

• Estimated Salary: $35 hourly - $55 hourly depending on experience.
