Job summary

AB Facility Services is seeking a Commercial Mobile HVAC & Maintenance Technician to service multiple commercial properties in Morristown, NJ and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience and hands-on building maintenance/handyman skills.

The role focuses on HVAC maintenance and service tickets, with additional general repairs as needed. Travel between sites, on-call shifts, and overtime may be required to support client needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience required.
• Commercial building maintenance/handyman experience strongly preferred.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC control issues.
• Service equipment such as rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Respond to HVAC and general maintenance service tickets at commercial properties.
• Perform general handyman repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in a clean and organized condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide updates on completed work and additional service needs.
• Complete service documentation and follow all safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience along with hands-on commercial building maintenance/handyman experience. This position will primarily handle HVAC maintenance and service tickets, while also performing general repairs and maintenance as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available for overtime and occasional emergency/on-call service, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Position requires travel between multiple commercial customer locations in the Morristown, NJ area and surrounding markets.
