Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North America HVAC business.

You will provide on-site service, commissioning and aftermarket support with a focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Eligible candidates have at least 3 years of experience on residential/ducted systems, with air- or water-cooled chillers, AHUs, or RTU units, and hold or will obtain EPA refrigerants licensing.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry in the US and Canada.
• Minimum of three years practical experience on residential/ducted HVAC products with chillers and AHUs.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors and steam turbines, and repair screw chillers system components.
• Travel 10-20% to support startup, commissioning and after-market service.
• Pass a knowledge exam and enroll in JCI's STA training for product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and commission/aftermarket issues.
• Offer quotes to customers to support recommendations and solutions.
• Collaborate with local market mechanics and uphold safety as a priority.
