Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage Maintenance shop positions seek skilled journeyman mechanics to maintain and repair gas and diesel engines and related equipment. Candidates must complete an approved journeyman apprenticeship and have 4+ years of automotive and heavy equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess and complete a journeyman mechanic apprenticeship program.
• Four or more years of automotive, construction equipment, transit bus, and truck maintenance/repair experience, or five years.
• Background check, Alaska driver’s license, and driving record required at hire.
