Job summary

Peterbilt of Alaska in Anchorage is seeking a full-time Journeyman Technician to analyze root causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions. This role performs journeyman duties, conducts regular inspections to identify and correct malfunctions, and completes repairs and replacements.

The position follows a 4/10 work schedule, requires 5+ years of experience with over-the-road heavy-duty diesel trucks, and requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with over the road heavy duty diesel trucks.
• Able to work 40+ hrs per week.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, estimate repairs on engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and more.
• Regular travel to field equipment both in town and remote
• Produce timely and detailed service reports, accurate timekeeping and expense tracking
• Competent and thorough use of internal computer systems, including electronic diagnostic tools, parts management and work order management software
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
