Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment, perform road maintenance.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads.
• Trench and construct ditches for pipes; remove debris.
• Check fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
• May train employees in safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects, and take corrective action.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; plan resources and materials.
• Review subordinate work for contract compliance and quality.
