Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support road construction and maintenance projects. The role involves operating diverse heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade material, and ensuring adherence to safety standards on site.

Primary responsibilities include load preparation, road grading, and trenching for utilities. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and pass mandatory safety training.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Must possess working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment for maintenance on roads and rights-of-way, including loading, hauling and dumping on various surfaces.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand, smooth and grade roads, spread rock and gravel.
• Construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
