Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a capable Equipment Operator Craftsman to operate heavy equipment and perform routine maintenance on roads and rights-of-way. The role includes loading, hauling, and grading tasks under varied outdoor conditions.

The candidate should have experience in a power plant/industrial setting, be able to follow written and oral instructions, and safely use hand and power tools. This position requires stamina for outdoor work and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience as Equipment Operator Craftsman in a Power Plant/Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling and dumping on surfaces from smooth to rough.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
