Job summary

ATI Specialty Alloys & Components in Albany, OR is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test electrically powered equipment and controls. The role covers PLCs, motors, SCRs, VFDs, transformers, and control panels within a manufacturing setting.

You will read schematics, ladder logic, and diagrams, and perform preventive maintenance while collaborating with operations across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years electrician experience in industrial, manufacturing, and/or processing industries.
• Specialty in 3 phase, 480V power distribution system.
• Must hold Limited Journeyman Manufactured Plant (PJ) license.
• Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical controls; ability to read relay, ladder logic, and schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls; read and understand relay, ladder logic, and schematic diagrams.
• Possess good computer skills and knowledge of networking principles to communicate with equipment controllers.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks following written instructions; adhere to NFPA 70E safety requirements.
• Use various test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes, electrical test instruments, and power tools as needed.
• Work on equipment including PLCs, motors, generators, SCRs, VFDs, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels.
