Job summary

WORKFORCE is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a direct-hire, full-time on-site role requiring independence on job sites and strong customer service.

You will read blueprints, interpret NEC and local codes, supervise apprentices, and coordinate inspections, while providing safe, quality workmanship and timely service.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
• Several years of hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and local electrical codes.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and safely use diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• OSHA training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Pull permits and coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Respond to emergency service calls and on-call rotation.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices on job sites as needed.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
