Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, with opportunities to grow into other divisions such as low voltage, controls, and fire alarm. The role includes installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems and may involve leading small crews.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings, and be prepared for weekends or overtime as required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Able to work with a team and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Demonstrate the Amteck Way in daily work activities, behavior and decision making.
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeders.
• Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
