Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and potentially supervise a small crew. The role involves installing, altering, and repairing electrical systems, reading blueprints, and growing across divisions such as low voltage and fire alarm.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Able to use company-provided tools per policy.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime.
• Able to read and interpret basic construction documents (drawings, specs).
• Demonstrates teamwork, safety, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuiting and reading plans.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out small work areas from drawings, including underground layouts.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
