Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 in Kentucky to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew. The role involves installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, with chances to learn low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm across divisions.

You will measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit, terminate devices, and read blueprints, with emphasis on safety and teamwork on the job site.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Demonstrate Amteck Way in daily work, behavior, and decision making.
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to learn job-related material through on-the-job instructions and observation.
• Read and interpret basic project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and conductors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuiting and reading drawings.
• Lay out small work areas from drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing accurately.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
