Job summary

Amteck, LLC in Kentucky is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to install, troubleshoot, and oversee conduit, devices, and systems on commercial and industrial projects. Under supervision, you will mentor Helpers and Apprentices while expanding skills into low voltage, controls, and fire alarm work.

You should have 5–7 years of relevant field experience, own the necessary tools, and be prepared for weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime
• Demonstrate a team-player mentality and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents and drawings
• Willingness to participate in field training (OJT/classroom/virtual)

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and benders
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and conductors
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics
• Layout small areas of work from drawings and documents
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuiting
• Ensure safety and compliance on site
