Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to join our Kentucky team. Under a Foreman or Superintendent, you will install, alter and repair electrical systems and may oversee a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices.

There is opportunity to grow into low voltage, controls, process work and fire alarm specialties. You will read specifications and blueprints, measure and install conduit, terminate devices and troubleshoot lighting and power circuits, while mentoring junior workers and upholding

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Able to work weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to read and interpret project specs, blueprints, schematics.
• Demonstrate teamwork and safety first.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and conductors.
• Read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out areas from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire and box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices.
