Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew. Tasks include installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems, with opportunities to learn low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm across divisions.

You will measure, cut, bend, thread, install conduit, terminate devices, and read project drawings while mentoring others and ensuring safety on site.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Owns tools required by company policy and can use them to perform tasks.
• Able to work weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to learn job-related material on the job.
• Demonstrates a teamwork mindset and safety-consciousness.
• Able to read basic construction documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and lay out electrical devices and conductors per drawings.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit using hand tools and benders.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Review project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
• Ensure work complies with safety and quality standards.
