Job summary

Sheriff’s Office Department Standards is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems across county buildings. You will work on new construction and remodel projects, maintaining fire protection systems and building automation.

Expect on-call rotations, after-hours work, and adherence to NEC/NFPA codes to ensure safety and reliability. Minimum three years of experience and a Colorado Journeyman Electrician License are required; CDL or forklift certs

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of work experience in electrical maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in County buildings.
• Maintain switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting, UPS, motors and controls, VFDs, A/C units, fuel pumps and building automation systems.
• Ensure work complies with local electrical/safety codes and budget.
• Maintain fire protection systems including control panels, detectors, sprinklers, door holders, and A/V systems.
• Follow National Electrical Code and NFPA codes; provide emergency on-call response.
