Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) - Division of Facilities Management is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems across multiple facilities in Pueblo and surrounding districts. This is an essential, full-time, on-site role requiring state residency.

You will design, read blueprints, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with other trades to ensure code-compliant operations in sensitive institutional environments.

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a journeyman electrician from the Colorado Electrical Board.
• May attach license, certification or equivalent to the application.
• Must possess and maintain valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair of Electrical Equipment and systems.
• Design and layout of electrical branch distribution for new construction and remodels.
• Read, create, and redline blueprints/schematics to service electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and appliances per NEC requirements.
• Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems in large campus/industrial environments.
• Be on-call after hours and respond to emergencies as required.
