Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across county properties. You will handle switch gear, generators, lighting, and building automation while ensuring NEC and NFPA compliance.

On-call duties and after-hours work may be required. Preferred candidates have a Journeyman Electrician license (Colorado) and may need a Class B CDL or forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Journeyman Electrician License - Colorado.
• May be required to obtain Class B CDL during employment.
• May be required to possess a forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in county buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting, and controls.
• Ensure work complies with local electrical and safety codes and budget.
• Provide emergency, on-call response for incidents and maintain building automation systems.
• Assist with snow removal and related duties as needed.
