Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking a journeyman electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across county buildings. You will work on switchgear, generators, lighting, building automation, and safety systems, ensuring code compliance and budget alignment.

This on-call role requires after-hours activation, occasional snow removal, and willingness to obtain or maintain a Colorado Class B CDL and forklift certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of electrical maintenance experience.
• Colorado Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• May be required to obtain Class B CDL and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in county buildings.
• Maintain fire protection and building automation systems.
• Provide emergency, on-call response for floods, HVAC, and security issues.
• Perform snow removal and operate snow equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code and safety standards.
• Respond after hours and weekends as part of on-call rotation.
• Support other duties as assigned.
