Job summary

Manzana Products Co. is relocating its manufacturing facility from Sebastopol, CA to Sunnyside, WA.

We seek a Journeyman Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems to support safe and reliable plant operations in a food manufacturing environment. The role supports production equipment, utilities, building systems, and capital projects while complying with electrical, building, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Washington State Journeyman Electrician license.
• Preferred 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on 480V three-phase systems.
• Experience with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial controls.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA food safety regulations, and sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting, and power distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, process control systems and critical food safety equipment.
• Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Support utilities including compressed air, HVAC, wastewater, pumps, and building systems.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS.
• Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, GMP, and food safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Job Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems and facility infrastructure to support safe and reliable plant operations. This position supports production equipment, utilities, building systems, and capital projects while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, Building codes, food safety standards, and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting, and power distribution equipment.


• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, process control systems and critical food safety equipment.


• Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.


• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production assets.


• Support utilities including compressed air, HVAC, wastewater, pumps, and building systems.


• Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and facility upgrades.


• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.


• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS.


• Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, GMP, and food safety requirements.


• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Journeyman Electrician License (01).


• Preferred 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.


• Strong troubleshooting skills on 480V three-phase systems.


• Experience with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial controls.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.


• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA food safety regulations, and sanitary manufacturing practices.


• Experience designing, assembling, wiring, modifying, and troubleshooting industrial electrical control panels in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Washington State Electrical Code, and applicable UL standards.


• A standard schedule will be offered, but the ability to work flexible hours on occasion, and support emergency breakdown response.

• Food manufacturing experience.


• PLC and automation troubleshooting experience.


• Experience with facility utilities and infrastructure systems.


• NFPA 70E training.

Working Conditions

• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs., either independently or with appropriate lifting equipment or assistance.


• A standard schedule will be offered, but the ability to work flexible hours on occasion, and support emergency breakdown response.
