Job Summary:

The IT Manageris responsible forthe design, implementation, security, and support of both enterprise IT and manufacturing technology infrastructure across the organization. This role oversees business network operations while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Automation teams to ensure reliable, secure, and resilient manufacturing systems.

A primaryresponsibility ismaintainingthe separation and security ofOperational Technology (OT)andInformation Technology (IT)environments through proper network segmentation, industrial cybersecurity practices, and lifecycle management of industrial assets.

The successful candidate will lead initiatives involving SCADA systems, PLC communications, Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices, wireless manufacturing networks, and enterprise infrastructure while ensuring high system availability for our production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the design and maintenance of secure network architecture that separates enterprise and industrial environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and maintain segmented IT/OT networks.
  • Configure and maintain:
    • Industrial firewalls
    • Layer 3 switches
    • VLANs
    • ACLs
    • Industrial DMZs
  • Secure communications between:
    • Business network
    • Manufacturing network
    • Cloud services
    • Remote vendor access
  • Monitor network performance and availability.
  • Maintain redundant network paths for critical production systems.
  • Participate in plant expansion and new equipment network design.

Oversee lifecycle management for connected manufacturing devices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inventory and manage Industrial IoT devices.
  • Monitor firmware and software revisions.
  • Coordinate secure patching schedules.

Manufacturing Technology (OT)

  • Manage the IT infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations, including:

  • Collaborate with Controls Engineers on communications between:
    • PLCs
    • Sensors
    • Robotics

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking.
  • Experience administering Microsoft infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cybersecuritybestpractices.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • This is an onsite position, and occasional afterhours or weekend work may be necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
