TLC Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for commercial and residential projects. Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial and/or residential projects. This position is responsible for completing electrical work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and company standards.

The ideal candidate is a skilled electrician who can work independently, read plans and specifications, troubleshoot electrical systems, communicate effectively with customers and team members, and help ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components.
• Install conduit, raceways, electrical panels, switches, receptacles, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
• Pull, terminate, and connect electrical wiring according to plans and specifications.

• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, other trades, and team members as needed.
• Verify materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete assigned work.
• Maintain and properly use company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Document completed work and communicate job status, issues, or additional work needed.
• Assist with training and providing guidance to apprentices and less-experienced electricians when needed.
• Identify potential jobsite issues and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, contractors, inspectors, and coworkers.
• Perform additional electrical and jobsite duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician license or certification as required by the State of New Mexico.
• Previous experience performing electrical installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, conduit installation, panels, circuits, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and electrical testing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial electrical experience.
• Experience with new construction, remodels, service, and troubleshooting.
• Experience leading or mentoring electrical apprentices.
• OSHA safety training or other applicable safety certifications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, and elevated areas.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.

$35.00 - $40.00 Hourly
