Job summary

New-Tex Electric & Automation, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in oilfield and industrial environments. Qualifications

• Requires valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• Oilfield or industrial electrical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment

• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test wiring and cable

Primary Responsibilities

Position Summary

New-Tex Electric & Automation, LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in oilfield and industrial environments. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safe work practices, and the ability to complete field work efficiently and to a high standard.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications
• Layout and install conduit, supports, junction boxes, panels, and related electrical components
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble conduit as required for each installation
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test electrical wiring and cable
• Install and connect motors, controls, instrumentation, and power equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs or corrective action
• Perform testing to verify electrical systems are operating properly and safely
• Work with both low- and high-voltage systems as required
• Determine the tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete assigned work
• Safely operate electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Work with and provide guidance to apprentices and helpers when needed
• Coordinate with supervisors and other crew members to complete work safely and on schedule
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with company and customer safety requirements

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license
• Previous oil and gas or industrial electrical experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safe work practices
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable attendance and reliable work ethic

• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with field electrical work
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated locations when necessary
