Job description

Full-time | Field-based | Midstream Oil & Gas

ABOUT THE ROLE

Elevate Industrial Services is growing its field team and looking for an experienced Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our crew. In this role, you’ll perform skilled electrical work on active project sites supporting oil and gas midstream clients —while mentoring apprentices and helping build the next generation of electrical talent.

This is a hands‑on field position for a licensed tradesperson with strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, industrial installation practices, and hazardous area work, who is ready to lead crews and deliver high‑quality electrical work at active industrial sites.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Perform high‑quality electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in an industrial environment.
  • Train and mentor apprentice electricians to help develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
  • Lay out and organize tasks for apprentices and crew members, providing leadership and direction to maintain high‑quality workmanship.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, one‑line diagrams, and specifications.
  • Use electrical formulas to determine pipe fill, device sizing, panel sizing, and other installation requirements.
  • Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and equipment hookups in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and site standards.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, transformers, switchgear, and other industrial electrical equipment.
  • Plan for and manage materials required to complete assigned work.
  • Work safely in and around hazardous (classified) locations in accordance with applicable codes.
  • Maintain a constant focus on jobsite safety and proper use of equipment, tools, and PPE.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Travel to project sites as required.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Experience working in hazardous (classified) locations (Class I, Division 1 & 2).
  • NFPA 70E / arc flash safety training.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check; TWIC card preferred or ability to obtain one.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience working alongside I&E Technicians or Automation Engineers on instrumentation and controls projects.
  • Prior crew‑lead or supervisory experience.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Opportunity to lead crews and mentor apprentices on real projects with industry‑leading clients.
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
  • Per diem and travel reimbursement for project site work.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Company‑provided tools and safety equipment.
  • Opportunities for continued professional growth and development.
