Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a skilled equipment operator to manage power construction equipment for excavation, grading, and road work in active project sites. You will support maintenance tasks, operate various vehicles, and ensure safe operation across demanding rights-of-way.

Ideal candidates have an intermediate level of experience and can follow complex instructions while safely using hand and power tools. This role requires physical stamina and readiness for varied shifts on outdoor construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment while performing road maintenance.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and lay ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check fluid levels and lubrication; perform basic maintenance.
• Instruct and train others in safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify defects.
