Job summary

Mechanics Hub in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Master Diesel Technician to diagnose and overhaul diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The role requires 7+ years of repair experience and advanced diagnostic skills. You will use OEM software and schematics to troubleshoot engines and emissions systems, perform major repairs, and mentor junior techs.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional diesel or heavy equipment repair experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, and heavy-duty systems.
  • Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license and strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, heavy equipment, and complex faults.
  • Use OEM software and schematics to troubleshoot engines and emissions systems.
  • Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel/cooling systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and road tests to verify repairs.
  • Maintain service records and communicate findings and labor estimates.
  • Mentor technicians and uphold safety procedures in the shop.
