About this roleWe're hiring a Journeyman Carpenter to join a commercial construction crew on a project in Fletcher, NC. You will work on-site performing layout, formwork, framing and finish carpentry on mid- to large-scale projects. Expect a hands-on role with clear daily tasks and a crew-focused environment. Typical schedule is day shifts with regular overtime as needed. You'll report to the site foreman, follow site safety procedures and keep work areas organized. This role is for a hardworking carpenter who reads plans, uses hand and power tools safely, and takes pride in clean, accurate work.What you'll doRead and follow blueprints, layout lines, and project drawings for framing and finish workBuild, set and strip concrete forms and install embeds, anchors and blockoutsMeasure, cut and assemble wood, metal framing, stairs, doors, and trim using hand and power toolsInstall temporary bracing, scaffolding components, and ensure assemblies meet plumb and levelMaintain tools and equipment, keep the work area clean, and report material needs to the foremanFollow site safety plans, attend toolbox talks, and cooperate with inspections and quality checksWhat we're looking forMinimum 3 years commercial carpentry experience on concrete, framing, and finish scopeAbility to read and interpret blueprints, layout points, and cut listsProven skill with hand tools, saws, drills, levels, and layout instrumentsPhysical stamina to lift, carry and position materials (frequent lifting up to 50 lbs)Reliable transportation to site, punctual attendance, and the ability to work overtime when requiredWillingness to follow site safety rules and participate in drug screening and background checksQualificationsOSHA 10-hour construction card (preferred)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationCompleted carpentry apprenticeship or journeyman-level experienceAbility to pass drug screen and background checkComfortable communicating in English on-site; bilingual abilities are a plusWhat we offerHealth, dental, and vision plan optionsPaid time off and recognized paid holidaysPaid safety and site-specific training; support for trade advancementTool and boot allowance or reimbursement policyOvertime opportunities and predictable day-shift schedules when possibleReady to apply?Build your profile.
