Job summary

Skillit is currently seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the San Antonio, TX area for per diem travel assignments on commercial and government jobs.

Ideal candidates will read plans, place accurate layouts, install bracing and scaffolding, and work safely with crane signaling. Bilingual English/Spanish is required and relocation/travel is common. Long and multi-week projects offer steady work and safety training support.

Qualifications

• Must have proven formwork carpentry experience on commercial or government projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and site drawings with accurate layouts.
• Experience with scaffolding systems, crane signaling and trench/excavation support.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble and set concrete formwork on commercial/government sites.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and site layouts.
• Measure, cut and install wood and metal framing, bracing and in-wall blocking.
• Install scaffolding and shore systems; coordinate crane signaling during lifts.
• Ensure form accuracy and concrete tolerance; coordinate with crew and trade partners to meet safety and schedule.

About this roleImmediate openings for experienced concrete carpenters in the San Antonio, TX area. You will build, set and strip concrete forms on commercial and government jobs. This is a per diem position with travel assignments and steady project work for crew members who know formwork inside and out. We need hands-on carpenters who read plans, place accurate layouts, install bracing and scaffolding, and work safely with crane operations.
