Job summary

Skillit in McMinnville, TN is seeking a per diem commercial carpenter specializing in concrete formwork and rough framing for large projects. Build vertical and horizontal forms, erect scaffolds, and assist with pours on outdoor sites.

Bring your own basic tools, follow safety rules, and work at heights. OSHA-10 and 3+ years of concrete formwork experience are preferred to join our skilled crews.

Qualifications

• OSHA-10 certification is required.
• 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience with concrete/formwork preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and perform site layout.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support crew communication on site.

Responsibilities

• Build vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, and temporary wood structures from sketches or blueprints.
• Erect and install scaffolds, supports, and temporary shelters on site.
• Measure, cut, fit, and fasten materials; set anchor bolts and form ties; verify layout using site drawings.
• Maintain safety practices and work at elevated heights outdoors; coordinate with crew leads during pours.

About this roleJoin a commercial construction crew in McMinnville, TN working on concrete formwork and rough framing for large projects. This role focuses on building vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, scaffolding, and temporary structures. Expect outdoor work, elevated tasks, and hands-on problem solving. You must bring your own basic hand tools and follow strict site safety rules in a drug-free environment.
