Job summary

UPS in Indianapolis is hiring an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers, using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

The role requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, and possession or soon-to-be possession of a CDL.

Qualifications

• Must have automotive mechanical experience and be able to troubleshoot diverse systems.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools is required.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a range of equipment including delivery vehicles and tractors.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
• Operate standard transmissions and use hand tools safely.
• Meet applicable DOT requirements and work in a team setting.
