Weyerhaeuser's Grayling, MI facility is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support Operations and lead preventive maintenance. The role requires hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with willingness to respond promptly to mill needs in a safety-first environment.

You will work on a rotating shift as part of a self-directed team, cross-training in multiple maintenance areas and using CMMS to manage work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Proficient in electrical, electronics, PLC, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

DescriptionThe Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will provide maintenance support to Operations and lead preventive maintenance work. Demonstrates willingness and ability to act promptly to meet mill needs in an environment where safety is always the lead consideration before performing any task.Grayling is a high performing self-directed team with above average earnings potential and full benefits. We are anticipating a pay range of $24.10 to $31.47 based on your level of skills, education, background, qualifications and experience.Key Functions:The onshift Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Grayling OSB team and works in a team environment to manage the mill maintenance systems, specific area projects, process improvements and equipment operation. This position is able to fully cross train in all areas of maintenance which includes but is not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic for both troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Attend training seminars both onsite and offsite, as required.Utilize computerized maintenance systems.Have the ability to demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision making.Demonstrate dedication and self-motivation as an individual who can actively participate in meetings, team feedback, team building, and performance reviews.QualificationsRequirements:The successful candidate will have a personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations.A minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work rotating shifts.Must be proficient in 2-3 areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, millwrighting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.Must read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.Ability to use maintenance tools.Must be able to demonstrate good communications skills and be team oriented.Preferred experience:Electrical skills are a plusAssociates degreeGood working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issuesCommitment to follow all unit electrical / maintenance practicesAbility to read electrical schematics preferred.Strong computer skills and fluency with standard Microsoft office productsAble to work with computerized maintenance systems for processes, stores, work orders, etcAbout Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
