Weyerhaeuser’s Montana Wood Products is currently looking for a Millwright 5 or better to join our Kalispell Complex. Our Kalispell Complex supports both a plywood and a sawmill facility. Their skill and ingenuity have made Weyerhaeuser one of the largest premium timber, land, and forest products companies in the world.As an Industrial Millwright at Kalispell Plywood, you will have the opportunity to:Support manufacturing by maximizing plant uptime and provide support for facility systems in a safe manner, while contributing to corporate, plant, and departmental goals.Work with a team of millwrights and electricians to deliver preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems, and work on capital projects including upgrading and installation of equipment.Read and interpret blueprints; construct and fabricate mill equipment including but not limited to welding and burning.Deliver preventative maintenance on plant equipment.Assist with or perform complex repairs.Gain working knowledge of Weyerhaeuser's fire protection system.QualificationsExperienceOne year of manufacturing experience preferredMechanical ability is requiredSpecific SkillsBe able to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsConcept knowledge of welding and burning (on the job training provided to further develop skills)Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and read/interpret schematic drawingsAbility to work closely with supervisors, electricians, millwrights and others; be a team player/leader; good verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate positive attitude.Demonstrate ability to work safely and care for tools and equipmentSelf-starter with the ability to work with and without direct supervisionKnowledge and ability to use Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Show proficiency in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) standardsDemonstrate basic computer skills including Maintenance Management Software, MS Office, Email and Web based programsAdditional RequirementsWill be required to own tools on “required list”Must be comfortable working above the ground at times, and outside as necessary working in all-weather environmentsCandidates must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions.A sense of urgency in terms of maximizing production and minimizing down time is necessary in this type of manufacturing environment.Tasks performed involve work with equipment and materials that require familiarity with formal safety procedures and the following of these procedures in order to maintain the safety of the work environment.Must have good performance, safety and attendance recordsWillingness to work overtime, odd hours, weekends, holidays and other shifts as requiredIt is a general requirement that at least one year be spent at any current grade level before advancement to next level. Very Heavy Duty involves exertion of more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds continuously to move objects.
